The Association of Family Funeral Service Providers is a non-profit organization of funeral service providers who adhere to a strict code of ethics and who hold themselves accountable to each other and the public they serve. Membership is strictly limited to funeral establishments (funeral homes, crematoriums, funeral service centers) who conform to the association's standards and submit themselves to periodic peer review.
Formed in the summer of 2008, the association seeks to establish a market oriented alternative to "business as usual" in the funeral industry. Our members, have eliminated the massive expense of maintaining ostentatious buildings, grounds, gardens, and fleets of idle vehicles. Efficient handling of the basic necessities of funeral service allows our members to offer dramatically lower prices than the corporate funeral homes. Funerals are held in churches, homes, or other suitable facilities depending on the size of the funeral and the desires of the family. Often a graveside service is preferred, and occasionally no ceremony at all is appropriate.
